Thought I'd see if I could wake this board up with a round of introductions.

I'm Daniel; I live in NYC but work at an enterprise software company in Boston I helped start in 1999. My professional interests are mostly in information retrieval; I also have a strong personal interest in understanding people's systematic irrationality.

Tartan cartoon causes uproar

"A college newspaper ran a racially charged cartoon in an April Fool's Day edition, incensing readers and provoking an official review.

The Tartan, the student paper at Carnegie Mellon University, fired the cartoonist, agreed not to publish again until fall and decided to hire an ethics manager to review future issues. Two editors also resigned."

I'd like to actually see it and judge for myself. Anyone got more info?

So if you were at CMU in the late 90's to the present, you may have seen that Hum Vee that could drive itself around campus.
Well I just heard on NPR that it is running a huge race through the desert completely unmanned. Anyone have any further information about this cool toy?
